We're getting married at the beautiful Olowalu Plantation House in Maui:
The scenery itself is beautiful, so I really want to keep the decorations minimal.
We're probably going to have white chairs. What I'd like to do is have fans for the guests since they're going to be sitting outside in June! I'm stuck between two different fans. Either these palm fans in which I'd glue ribbon onto the handle itself and tie a tag:

What I'd like to do is place the fans on each seat with a personalized wedding tag or orchid and place our program on top of them.
Update!
Here are our finished palm fans. It really didn't take too long to do these and they make them look so much nicer. I ordered the fans from Oriental Trading.

Guestbook
A postcard guestbook. We basically just buy a bunch of postcards and have everyone sign the back of them. Once we return, we can place them in a photo album, kind of like the picture above.

A photography book guestbook. We'd just provide the guests with a Sharpie and they can sign the pages of the book. It'd be a nice memento. I found this book online, "Maui: Hawaiian Paradise" by Peter Lik, a landcape photographer.

Update!
We found our guestbook! It's perfect! It's a coffee table book full of beautiful Maui photographs. It has plenty of white margins for the guests to sign their thoughts and any words of wisdom.
